Premier League Game Week 35 Tips & Preview

Premier League Game Week 35 Tips & Preview

The Premier League enters the final four rounds of play, as the race for European places approaches boiling point!

Match of the week sees City play host to Chelsea in what will be a thrilling preview for they UCL Final at the end of the month.

Elsewhere, Man U look to keep their away record alive with a result at Villa Park, while West Ham push towards their first top four finish in Premier League history when they face the Toffees.

We’ve previewed every Premier League fixture across the weekend and provided our best betting plays below!

LEICESTER VS NEWCASTLE
Leicester and Over 2.5 Goals $2.15

Leicester are inching their way to European qualification, though we’ve witnessed Brendan Rogers’ sides blow easier opportunities in the past!

Following a run of decent performances, Newcastle decided not to show up to the party against the Gunners last weekend, currently nine points from the drop zone with four games remaining, it’s hard to blame their squad for checking out early.

Leicester hold a decent record against the league’s current bottom eight sides, winning 11 of 15 such games (3D,1L), including a 2-1 victory over the Toons in Newcastle, with nine of the aforementioned games finishing with over 2.5 goals.

LEEDS VS TOTTENHAM
Tottenham $2.02

The Spurs are out to extend their perfect record in the Premier League under the watchful eye of Ryan Mason (2W).

Standing in their way are a Whites’ outfit looking to bounce back from a shock 2-0 defeat to Brighton last week.

Leeds have lost just once over their previous seven homes league fixtures (3W,3D), conceding just three goals across the trip.

Despite their recent run at home, Leeds are yet to taste sweet victory against a current top ten side at Elland Road this season (5D,4L).

The Spurs are unbeaten across their last six meetings with Leeds (5W,1D), with the like of Bale, Son and Harry Kane now firing on all cylinders it’s hard to imagine anything but a win for the visitors here.

SHEFF UTD VS CRYSTAL PALACE
Crystal Palace $2.50

Sheffield United are well and truely intrenched in their farewell lap, set to exit the league with a truely awful record.

Meanwhile, Crystal are currently floating in the mists of irrelevancy, not quite good enough to compete with the top ten, not quite poor enough to be pulled into the relegation scrap.

The Eagles have suffered three straight defeats, though all have come against sides currently sitting within the top four.

Crystal have only lost two of their last 20 league fixtures against sides sitting inside the relegation zone, as such I’m backing Roy’s boys to complete the double over the Blades here.

MAN CITY VS CHELSEA
Draw $3.30

Match of the round comes curtesy of a UCL Final preview as Man City play host to Chelsea on Sunday morning (AEST).

Man City can clinch the 2020/21 title with a win over the Blues here, which might be a strong enough incentive for Pep to name a similar side to that which lined up midweek against PSG.

Both sides come into this fixture in terrific defensive form, City have record 19 PL clean sheets this season, while the Blues have kept their opponents scoreless in 11 of their 15 league appearances under Thomas Tuchel.

I’m expecting this contest to be extremely cagey, with neither manager looking to giveaway their hand ahead of their Champions League showdown, as such I’ll be backing a low scoring draw.

LIVERPOOL VS SOUTHAMPTON
Liverpool (-1) $1.80

Liverpool look to make a last ditch run at European qualification with a win against the Saints.

The Reds have an outstanding record against Southampton at home, undefeated across their last six Anfield outings (4W,2D) without conceding a goal!

Although it’s the Saints who will be attempt to clinched the double here, after seeing off the current champs 1-0 at the start of the year.

After their GW34 fixture against United was postponed, the Reds should be fresh and raring to go here, with everything to play for I’m expecting Klopp’s men to run away with this one.

WOLVES VS BRIGHTON
Both Teams To Score (No) $1.75

We’re set to be treated to an absolute snooze-fest in Sunday’s early match, as clean sheet merchants Brighton take on the goal shy Wolves.

The Seagulls enter this fixture with 12 clean sheets this season, only Chelsea, City, United and Villa hold better defensive records in the league.

While, the Wolves are 16th in scoring, averaging less than a goal a game, Brighton aren’t fairing much better with just three more strikes to their name.

The ‘both teams to score’ market has failed to hit in five both sides’ previous seven league fixtures and I’ll be backing against it again here.

ASTON VILLA VS MAN UTD
Halftime Result 'Draw' $2.20

Manchester United look to resume league play after their GW34 fixture was postpone due to fan protests.

Despite the unrest surrounding the Red Devils ownership, the squad continues to perform on the pitch, suffering just one defeat since GW6 and remaining unbeaten on the road across 24 league matches!

United’s real issue this season has been failing to get off to a quick start, the former giants have gone into the half with the scores tied in 19 of 33 league fixtures, and 11 of 17 on the road.

With both sides sitting inside the top four for clean sheets this season, I can easily see this game moving at a snails pace, ultimately resulting in a goalless first half.

WEST HAM VS EVERTON
West Ham to score first in the opening half $2.50

The Hammers look to remain in the hunt for a top four finish by completing a league double over the Toffees for the first time since 1973.

West Ham came back from a goal down to defeat Burnley 2-1 last weekend, with Michail Antonio netting a brace on his return from injury.

The Hammers have managed to score in the first half in all but one home game this season, while four of the last seven goals scored against Everton have come within the first 30 minutes of the game!

I’m backing the Hammers to get off to another flyer here, claiming the first goal of the first half.

ARSENAL VS WEST BROM
Arsenal (-1) $2.30

West Brom will be bailed out of the Premier League for a record equality fifth time should they fail to pick up a result in London.

Arsenal may enter this fixture a little flat, after simultaneously blowing their only chance at a trophy and playing in European football next season with a goalless draw against Villarreal on Friday morning.

Despite coming to the realisation that they’re no longer one of England’s “Big Clubs”, the Gunners can take solace in the fact that they have won seven straight home fixtures against the Baggies, outscoring the minnows 15 goals to one!

The Gunners smacked four past West Brom earlier in the season and should have no trouble sending them packing once again.

FULHAM VS BURNLEY
Chris Wood to score anytime $2.50

Game Week 35 comes to a close when Burnley travels to the capital to bid Fulham farewell for the league.

The Cottagers actually possess an extraordinary league record against the Clarets, winning eight of the pairs last nine meetings at Craven Cottage.

Although, Burnley has tasted victory at the Cottage earlier in the year, with a 3-0 result in the FA Cup thanks to a brace from Jay Rodriguez.

Burnley’s Kiwi striker Chris Wood has been involved in 10 goals (7G,3A) across his last seven league fixtures, with Fulham likely to be relegated before kickoff I can easily see the #9 banging in a couple more here.
