Premier League Game Week 33 Tips & Preview

Premier League Game Week 33 Tips & Preview

We only have eight fixtures to look forward to in Game Week 33 of the Premier League, as Spurs attempt to win their first trophy since 2008 when they lineup against City in the English League Cup.

The match of the round comes curtesy of a huge London Derby between West Ham and Chelsea, with the winner set to occupy fourth place (for the time being).

Elsewhere, Everton look to complete the double over Arsenal, United are out to extend their incredible run on the road against Leeds and Newcastle hope to sink the knife into the Reds.

Our Offside Oracle has previewed every GW33 match and provided his best betting plays below!

ARSENAL VS EVERTON
Everton $3.90

The Game Week kicks off in London as the Gunners look to salvage what they can from a less than convincing campaign.

History is on the Gunners side, who are unbeaten against the Toffees across their last 24 Premier League home fixtures (20W,4D)!

Saying that, Arsenal’s home form this season has done little to inspire confidence here, claiming just six wins from 16 outings, with a net goal difference of zero.

Alternatively, Everton have thrived on the road this campaign, claiming nine wins from 15 starts (3D,3L).

The Toffees won the reverse fixture 2-1 back in GW14, in one of their few victories at Goodison Park this season.

The Gunners will be drawing on their squad depth here, with both first choice strikers in Lacazette and Aubameyang set to miss the clash through injury and illness respectively.

With a depleted squad and one eye on their Europa semi-final tie, the scene is set for the Gunners to relinquish their Emirates strong hold over Everton.

LIVERPOOL VS NEWCASTLE
Liverpool and Over 3.5 Goals $2.80

The Reds are out to claim back-to-back home league wins for the first time since the 17th Dec 2020!

Standing in their way are the Toons, who have had a miserable time at Anfield, with their last victory here coming 25 attempts ago back in 1994 (20L,4D)!

Four of the last five league fixtures between this pair have seen over 3.5 goals scored ,with the Reds claiming all three points on each occasion.

Newcastle have scored seven goals across their last three matches and won’t be taking a backwards step against the current champs.

That said, Liverpool have the fire power to blow the Toons off the park and should do so here.

WEST HAM VS CHELSEA
West Ham or Draw $1.95

The Hammers take on the Blues in a fixture which will have huge implications on European qualification.

West Ham surrendered their top four spot last week following a surprise 3-2 defeat to Newcastle, which was their fourth consecutive game to feature at least five goals!

Similarly, Chelsea let the ball slip, dropping points to Brighton in a dull goalless performance where a win would’ve seem them push into 3rd.

The Blues have a HUGE Champions League semi-final fixture against Real Madrid next Wednesday morning (AEST), as such Tuchel will likely rest a few key players over the weekend.

The Hammers have the second best home record in the comp, only trailing Man City this season.

I’m backing West Ham to claim at least one point against their London rivals here and continue their fairytale run.

SHEFF UTD VS BRIGHTON
Brighton and Under 3.5 Goals $2.20

Strap yourself in, or should I say tuck yourself in and enjoy a good nights sleep.

Both Brighton and Sheffield have failed to score across their last two league games, for the Blades it has meant two more defeats while confirming their relegation back to the Championship.

While Brighton’s defence has ensured they have continued to pick up vital points despite their inability to score, with three clean sheets across their last four games the Seagulls will feel confident on holding out the blunt Blades here.

There’s no point trying to over analyse this one, Sheffield are done and should fold once again in a low scoring affair.

WOLVES VS BURNLEY
Under 2.5 $1.62

Wolverhampton target three consecutive league wins for the first time this season when they welcome a Burnley side who are looking to avoid four straight defeats.

The Clarets are currently six points clear of the relegation zone with a game in hand, though on current form they will be feeling far from comfortable with the likes of West Brom piecing together a late run to the line.

I’d exercise caution when looking at the Wolves uptick in form, their last two wins have both come against relegation bound sides in unconvincing fashion.

This fixture has been historically close, with the points split twice across the pairs’ last three league outings, while four of their last five meetings have all resulted with under 2.5 goals.

Neither side form justifies backing them outright, as such I’ll be taking the unders despite the price.

LEEDS VS MAN UTD
Man Utd and Over 2.5 Goals $2.55

Leeds seek redemption against fierce rivals Man U, after being humbled 6-2 in the pairs’ reverse fixture.

Since that meeting Leeds have slowly trended upwards from 14th to 10th, just nine points outside the top four.

The Whites are without defeat across their last five league outings, which have seen them take points away from both Chelsea and Liverpool, while also becoming the fourth side claim a win against the Sky Blues.

Not to be outdone, Man U are 12 league fixtures without defeat (7W,5D) and are still without a loss on the road this campaign, taking their away streak to 23 games across two seasons!

I’m backing the Red Devils to continue their hot streak on the road with another high scoring victory over the Whites.

ASTON VILLA VS WEST BROM
West Brom $4.25

The Villans look to curtail a two game losing streak when they welcome the Baggies to Birmingham on Monday morning (AEST).

West Brom have the bit between their teeth now, they can feel relegation looming and are doing all they can to hang onto their Premier League dream.

Big Sam has led his side to two wins from their last three matches and will feel they can pick up a third against a vulnerable Villa outfit.

Alternatively, the Villians have dropped their intensity across the past month, seemingly content with a mid-table finish.

The Baggies have everything to play for here and I’ll be backing them in at the huge overs.

LEICESTER VS CRYSTAL PALACE
Leicester (-1) $2.35

The Foxes can take a huge step towards cementing their place in next season’s Champions League with a win over the Eagles here.

Leicester clinically dispatched an inform Baggies outfit last week opening up a four point gap between themselves and both the Blues and Hammers, who are jostling for fourth.

Madison returned to the Foxes lineup to immediate dividends, with the ball moving far more freely.

Crystal are coming into this fixture of the back of a heavy defeat against the Blues and have conceded at least four goals in five games this season!

The Foxes finally have all their key players fit and fighting, with the finish line in sight I can’t see them taking the foot off the gas in this one.
