Port Macquarie: Race 2 (1:40pm)
No. 2 Ralph's Folly

Ralph’s Folly has stripped fitter for two starts back this time and is ready to win at Port Macquarie today.

The Kim Waugh-trained gelding is a seven-start maiden, but he has hinted at ability and has raced well around some good horses.

With even luck, he might not be offered a better opportunity to win.

best bet
Port Macquarie: Race 4 (2:50pm)
No. 4 Glowing Red

Glowing Red looks well placed to score at Port Macquarie this afternoon.

The three-year-old daughter of Artie Schiller is yet to miss placing in three starts, and returned from a break to fill the minors behind Resilient Star at Hawkesbury.

There doesn’t look to be as much depth in this race and she is my best bet on the program.

Port Macquarie: Race 6 (4:05pm)
No. 2 French Marine

French Marine can continue his rise through the grades at Port Macquarie today.

The Epaulette gelding has also made just three trips to the races previously, winning at Dubbo second-up and finishing third, beaten just over a length in BM58 company last time.

With further improvement, this shapes as a very winnable race for him.

Port Macquarie: Race 7 (4:40pm)
No. 7 Free Dawn

She’ll need some luck in running after drawing awkwardly, but Free Dawn looks up to winning the last at Port Macquarie today.

The daughter of Snitzel had just two starts during her debut prep, finishing third on debut at Gosford and breaking her maiden here.

She has had the benefit of a couple of trials leading into this race and she can fight out the finish.
