Serious Object has been a strong and consistent performer recently and looks the one to beat in the fifth at Wentworth Park tonight.
The classy son of Oaks Road hasn’t missed placing at his last four appearances, winning twice and finding form around some above-average chasers.
He can go straight to the lead from Box 1 and will give them something to chase.
There looks to be a few winning chances in the sixth at Wentworth Park tonight, but I’m happy to stick with Due West.
Due West has continued to improve with each effort recently, and he’s unlucky not to have won either of his last two starts.
He can use his box speed to go forward tonight and with luck, he’ll be right in the finish again.
This looks to be Modern Talking’s race to lose.
Modern Talking has made just five trips to the races since debuting, and stripped fitter for a couple of fair efforts when fresh and hasn’t looked back since, winning each of her last three in dominant fashion.
There isn’t much value left in her win quote, so I am instead going to put her on top in a Same Race Multi and pump up my odds with both Zipping Anthea and Pikachu Wave running into the first four.
Our Same Race Multi selections are:
- 3 Modern Talking (Win)
- 2 Zipping Anthea (Top 4)
- 6 Pikachu Wave (Top 4)
I wouldn’t have normally been interested in backing him from Box 5, but scratchings have left this field depleted and I’m confident that Cawbourne Claw can enjoy a nice run tonight.
The son of Collision is another chaser who has noticeably improved for each of his four starts since debuting, and he comfortably broke his maiden here last week.
With further improvement, he can continue his rise through the grades.
