Maitland: Race 6 (5:02pm)
No. 8 Cherokee Outlaw

Cherokee Outlaw has returned plenty of eye-catching efforts recently and looks the runner to beat in the sixth at Maitland this afternoon.

The son of Fernando Bale recorded three wins in succession, all at this track and distance and slick time, and he was last seen finishing off well for fourth after missing the jump in a better race at Wentworth Park.

A return to his pet conditions suits and with even luck from out wide, he can return to winning form.

Maitland: Race 8 (5:39pm)
No. 3 Zulu Warlord

Zulu Warlord has been a strong and consistent performer this campaign and will take beating in the first Maitland Cup Heat.

The classy son of Fernando Bale hasn’t missed placing in his last eight starts, winning four times and finding form around some above-average chasers.

He boasts superior box speed to his rivals this afternoon and will give them something to chase.

Maitland: Race 9 (5:54pm)
No. 1 Ebby Jet Power

Ebby Jet Power is drawn to receive all of the favours in the second Maitland Gold Cup this afternoon and looks well placed to win.

The son of Fernando Bale rarely runs a bad race, and he was at his brilliant best two and three starts back, recording dominant wins at Wentworth Park and breaking the clock.

He’ll go straight to the lead tonight and will be in this for a long way.

Maitland: Race 10 (6:12pm)
Same Race Multi

Aston Zodiac will take winning form into the third Maitland Gold Cup Heat and is primed to make it two in a row.

The daughter of Fernando Bale has been typically impressive this campaign and never looked in doubt here last week.

There isn’t much value left in her win quote, so I am instead going to select her as the winner in a Same Race Multi and build out my bet further with Redshift Seven running into the first three and Happy Dash the first four.

Our Same Race Multi selections are:

  • 2 Aston Zodiac (Win)
  • 3 Redshift Seven (Top 3)
  • 8 Happy Dash (Top 4)
