Aston Fastnet failed to fire over this track and trip two weeks ago, but he does look capable of bouncing back after winning by a clear margin three runs back at Sandown over a touch shorter.
He’s always shown tremendous early speed in his races and he has drawn well to get a lovely run in transit from Box 7.
This looks well within his grasp.
El Calzador loves this distance, as we saw last week when he won by four lengths at Geelong.
The son of Aussie Infrared has never raced at The Meadows before, but the outside draw should give him plenty of opportunity to get back and run on late.
Weblec Ace is a proven performer at The Meadows with nine wins on the board.
The three-year-old has also found the money in four of his seven starts over this track and trip.
Looks to have most of these covered on class alone.
Frank’s Girl has found a much easier contest dropping back in class as she looks to atone for a her last start fourth at Sandown last week.
Zipping Clifford is a proven commodity over this track and trip with three wins on the board and he does appear to have some of these covered with early speed.
Inga Mia owns a speedy 30.14 second PB over this track and trip and might sneak in late.
