He has drawn Box 8, but this still shapes as Straight Shift’s race to lose, and I am going to have a Same Race Multi.
The son of Fernando Bale has returned some bold efforts in some good races this time and has form across the board. There isn’t much value left in his win quote, so I’m going to select him as the winner and build out my bet further with other selections.
General Cortez and Giarre both look to be slight overs for their abilities, so I’m going to select both to finish in the first four.
Our Same Race Multi selections are:
- 8 Straight Shift (Win)
- 3 General Cortez (Top 4)
- 7 Giarre (Top 4)
Makutu has returned some bold efforts this campaign and strikes a winnable race at Richmond tonight.
The son of My Redeemer charged in to score at this track and distance three starts back and was unlucky not to make it two in a row when flying in from out wide to finish a half-length second.
He can go straight to the lead from Box 1 tonight and will be tough to catch.
Stormin’ Norman doesn’t win out of turn, but he also rarely races poorly and looks well placed to score at Richmond tonight.
The son of Kinloch Brae did record a nice win under similar conditions here in early February and has run into some good chasers in the wake.
This looks to be the easiest race that he has contested in some time and he might not be offered a better opportunity to win.
Bide Your Time is drawn to receive the gun run in the last at Richmond tonight and he can record another win.
The son of Fernando Bale has only missed placing a couple of times in his last eight starts and won a nice race at Wentworth Park most notably.
He’ll go forward tonight and will be tough to catch over the 330m.
