Back to the future!
Premier League fans are treated to seven mid-week fixtures as Game Week 29 has been brought forward to accommodate for FA Cup ties.
Match of the round comes curtesy of Liverpool vs Chelsea, as the race for a top four finish begins to heat up!
Elsewhere, Man City look to pull further clear of the chasing pack with a win against the Wolves, Man U remain in the capital to take on the Eagles and Tottenham search for back to back league wins when they face Fulham.
Our VAR Virtuoso has worked around the clock to provide the punters with a few invaluable betting insights for GW29 below.
The powers that be at the Premier League might as well have ‘Manchester City’ engraved on the premiership trophy.
The Citizens are 12 points clear of their nearest rivals Man U, a gap that only looks like growing.
The Wolves have enjoyed an uptick in form, remaining undefeated across February (3W,2D), leaving them within touching distance of the top 10.
City look completely untouchable at the moment and will cruise to their 21st win on the trot here.
2020/21 EPL Punters Guide:
#1. Back against Sheffield United away.
#2. Back against Sheffield United at home.
#3. Rinse and repeat.
Both Burnley and Leicester will be looking to bounce back following disappointing performances over the weekend.
Burnley were blown off the park by an inspired Tottenham showing, while Leicester were outplayed by the Red side of North London.
The Foxes are dealing with a ton of injuries to key players at the moment, though if they have any aspirations of securing European football next season they’ll have to see off toothless outfits like Burnley.
Crystal Palace have the chance to claim a league double over Manchester United for the first time in the club’s top flight history!
The Eagles stunned United in Game Week 2, a double from Wilf Zaha securing an unlikely 3-1 victory at Old Trafford.
Since that fixture, Crystal have been mediocre at best, winning just seven of their following 24 league fixtures.
United are the only side to remain undefeated on the road this season (8W,5D), not to mention they have been victorious across their last five trips to Selhurst Park!
I’m backing the Reds Devils to find both redemption and the back of the net in another high scoring outing against the Eagles.
West Brom can take another huge stride towards survival when they welcome the Toffees to the Hawthornes.
The Baggies are unbeaten across their last three fixtures (1W,2D) and are only six points behind Newcastle outside the relegation zone.
Sam Allardyce has built a career on rescuing sides from the brink of the drop, and he has the Baggies functioning like a well oiled defensive machine (bus).
West Brom’s last four league games have all gone under the 2.5 Goal mark and I’m backing them to park it up in front of their 18 yard box in this one.
Tottenham are out to secure their first back to back league victories since GW9, at which point they were sitting pretty at the top of the table!
Spurs fans have been up and about this week, which coincided with the second coming of Gareth Bale, as the Welshman notched up four goals and three assists across his last four outings.
As well as Fulham have been defending of late, I can’t see them holding out the likes of Son, Kane and Bale at full flight!
Chelsea head to Anfield on Friday morning (AEST) looking to avoid their fifth straight league defeat against the Reds!
Liverpool ended a run of four straight league defeats with a victory over cellar dwellers Sheffield last time out, in doing so they kept their first league clean sheet in nine starts.
Alternatively, the Blues have gone nine matches without defeat (6W,3D) since the arrival of new manager Thomas Tuchel, claiming four wins from five fixtures on the road!
Klopp named his 100th centre half pairing of the season over the weekend and although they managed to hold the worst offensive team in the league to nil, I can’t say I hold much faith in them to doing the same against the attacking force of Chelsea.
Taking into account both current form and squad health, the Blues are massive overs at $3.10, a price I’m more than happy to jump on.
