Geelong: Race 5 (4:24pm AEDT)
No. 5 Aussie Built

Aussie Built has mixed his form a little recently, but the small field that he strikes at Geelong this afternoon suits, and he can return to winning form.

The son of Aussie Infrared charged in to score an impressive win here in January and has been undone by poor luck at his three subsequent appearances.

He has the benefit of an empty box to his outside this afternoon and he might not be offered a better opportunity to return to winning form.

Geelong: Race 6 (4:41pm AEDT)
No. 6 Innocent Diva

Innocent Diva has returned some lovely efforts recently and looks the runner to beat in Race 6 at Geelong tonight.

The daughter of Fernando Bale recorded consecutive at Ballarat and here at Geelong in late January, flying in to finish second two back and racing home well from a sticky draw to only just miss placing last time.

She is another who will benefit from an empty draw inside, and she can fight out the finish again.

Geelong: Race 7 (5:05pm AEDT)
Same Race Multi

Volcanic Lava looks to have the class edge in Race 7 at Geelong this afternoon and can return to winning form.

The son of Barcia Bale scored a dominant win over 450m at Ballarat two starts back, but he ran into traffic here last week and could only manage to finish fourth.

He is rock-hard fit, and I think he’ll just win, so I’m going to select him as the winner in a Same Game Multi, and fill out my ticket with both Upright and Kalyeeda running into the first four.

Our Same Race Multi selections are:

  • 5 Volcanic Lava (Win)
  • 2 Upright (Top 4)
  • 4 Kalyeeda (Top 4)
Geelong: Race 8 (5:27pm AEDT)
No. 2 Dinner Roll

Dinner Roll will take winning form into the eighth and Geelong this afternoon and looks well placed to make it two in a row.

The daughter of Banjo Boy has continued to improve with each start recently, culminating in a eye-catching win in an almost identical race here last time out.

A repeat of that effort would see her into the finish again.
