Sandown Park: Race 5 (8:10pm AEDT)
Same Race Multi

This looms as another very winnable race for the talented Aston Rupee.

Aston Rupee rarely runs a bad race, and he is unlucky not to be seeking a fourth win in succession tonight, having returned two fast performances at Shepparton and The Meadows before running a length second at Ballarat last time.

There isn’t much value left in his win quote, so I’m instead going to select him as the winner in a Same Race Multi and build out my bet further with both People Get Ready and Five Star running into the first four.

Our Same Race Multi selections are:

  • 4 Aston Rupee (Win)
  • 1 People Get Ready (Top 4)
  • 8 Five Star (Top 4)
Sandown Park: Race 6 (8:28pm AEDT)
No. 1 Cha Cha Charlie

Cha Cha Charlie will take winning form into the sixth at Sandown Park tonight and is primed to make it two in a row.

The classy son of Fernando Bale was luckless from tough draws two and three starts back, but he flew the boxes here last week and simply never appeared in doubt.

He can go straight to the lead from the inside draw tonight and he will give them something to chase.

Sandown Park: Race 7 (8:49pm AEDT)
No. 5 Aston Fastnet

Aston Fastnet looks to be a star on the rise, and he can record another win at Sandown Park tonight.

The son of Kc And All has made just six appearances at the races since debuting, but he has noticeably improved with each start and has made light work of his rivals at each of his last three.

He can use his notable box speed to go forward and with even luck, I can’t find a reason why he won’t be in the finish again.

Sandown Park: Race 8 (9:13pm AEDT)
No. 1 Run Like Jess

Run Like Jess has a class edge over her rivals in the eighth at Sandown Park tonight and is drawn to receive the gun run.

Run Like Jess has been a strong and largely consistent performer throughout her entire career and has returned plenty of typically impressive efforts this campaign, winning many times and placing in black type company.

She’ll eat up the 715m tonight and looms as the runner to beat.
