The Big Score – $145 into $108,351.54

One lucky punter took it to the Neds level over the weekend by turning a simple five-leg multi into a future mortgage.

With plenty happening right around the globe, our man got busy with his bet-slip by combining some AFLW, UFC, football and Australian Open action into one of the most memorable multi wins we’ve seen this year.

So, if you’re looking to turn $145 into six figures, be sure to check out this week’s edition of The Big Score below.

Leg 1 – AFLW: Western Bulldogs v Melbourne

  • The Bet: Under 77.5 Total Points @ $1.87

Betting on AFLW continues to grow in popularity and it’s not hard to see why.

Our Neds nuffie fancied a low-scoring game on Sunday as the Dees and the Dogs got together in a top six clash at Whitten Oval.

After a flawless first half saw Melbourne well in control at the main break, the Dogs came screaming home to win by 13 thanks to a clutch goal from Ellie Blackburn.

The two sides combined for only 61 points in the end, well shy of the 77.5 point line before the bounce.

Leg 2 – Curtis Blaydes v Derrick Lewis

  • The Bet: Derrick Lewis KO/TKO in Round 2 @ $16.00

Curtis Blaydes was the heavy (no pun intended) favourite in Sunday’s Fight Night main event against Derrick Lewis, but fortunately, our winning wonder chose to go against the grain and take the value.

ICYMI, Blaydes was viciously knocked out in the second round when he met the full force of a Lewis uppercut right under the chin.

As they say, one man’s pain is another man’s treasure.

Leg 3 – Novak Djokovic v Daniil Medvedev

  • The Bet: Djokovic to Win @ $1.85

There’s only one rule when it comes to the Australian Open: back the Djoker.

The previous eight-time champion drifted all the way out to a very generous $1.85 ahead of Sunday’s final against fourth seed Daniil Medvedev – massive overs for a guy that is now just two grand slam wins away from Roger Federer and Rafa Nadal.

After the injury controversy following the Djoker’s semi-final win, plenty of fans wanted to believe that the future GOAT would somehow lose to the Russian, but our man saw his comfortable three-set win coming a long, long way away.

Leg 4 – AC Milan v Inter Milan

  • The Bet: Romelu Lukaku Anytime Goal Scorer @ $2.70

Bit of a nervous one here, but again, a very safe bet.

For those out of touch with Serie A, Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku currently leads the league in goals scored through 22 games – one ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo and three ahead of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

With Inter and AC Milan both sitting one-two atop the table, this years Derby della Madonnina featured a little more spice than usual, or at least that was the case heading in.

Lautara Martinez got Inter started nice and early in the fifth minute, before adding another not long after half-time. Most importantly though, Lukaku added one for good insurance to secure a comfortable 3-0 win.

Leg 5 – Arsenal v Manchester City

  • The Bet: Raheem Sterling to Score, Man City to Win 1st Half, Man City to Win @ $5.00

City are well on their way to another title, so it’s very difficult to find any value on the future champs with the season winding down.

That said, our man was more than happy to venture over to the ‘Popular Multis’ tab and back himself a multi within a multi.

The first leg, Sterling to score, was an easy watch as City’s star winger banged one home in the second minute, but the rest was a bit of a sweat-fest as Pep Guardiola’s side clung to that 1-0 margin right through to the full-time whistle.
