Daily Racing Tips – Wednesday, February 3

Randwick-Kensington: Race 4 (4:05pm AEDT)
No. 5 Joliette

This looks a nice race for Joliette, and she will take plenty of beating.

Joliette he been a reasonably consistent performer throughout her preparation, and she filled the minors behind Strange Charm two back before a luckless effort behind More Prophets at Warwick Farm on Australia Day.

James McDonald retains the ride, the rise in trip looks ideal and she is drawn to receive a lovely run.

Randwick-Kensington: Race 7 (5:50pm AEDT)
No. 9 Flexible

This is a rise in class for Flexible, but she can record another win.

The Godolphin-trained filly finished midfield here on debut and has continued to improve noticeably in each of her two subsequent starts, culminating in a dominant win at Warwick Farm last time.

She gets into this well under the conditions and can win again.

Sandown: Race 6 (6:30pm AEDT)
No. 1 Hydro Star

Hydro Star will enjoy good improvement into his second campaign task and with even luck from the wide draw, will be in the finish of this contest.

Hydro Star stamped himself as a runner to watch during his debut preparation, winning on debut before finishing down the order in the Group 3 Vain Stakes.

I thought that there was a lot to like about his resuming effort for third in BM78 company at Flemington and he looks to have a class edge over a lot of these rivals.

Sandown: Race 7 (7pm AEDT)
No. 5 Flandersrain

Flandersrain has raced well in tougher company than this, and it shapes as the perfect race for her.

The Manhattan Rain mare found form around some genuine black type horses last time in, and filled the minors behind Nordic in BM70 company at Caulfield when resuming this time.

This is a drop in class, she’s drawn well and gets some relief in the weights with Will Price aboard.
