Black Flipper doesn’t win out of turn, but she also rarely runs a bad race and strikes a winnable one at Gosford tonight.
The daughter of Aston Dee Bee has finished second at each of her last four starts and is rock-hard fit ahead of tonight’s assignment.
She can go straight to the lead from Box 1 and will be tough catch over the short trip.
Similarly to Black Flipper in Race 4, Tan Can Go should get every chance to win tonight form Box 1.
The daughter of Fernando Bale rarely returns a poor effort, and charged home to score a lovely win over 520m at Wentworth Park most notably, earlier this month.
The drop in trip should suit and she’ll be tough to beat.
If he steps well from the potentially awkward box, King Of Hearts will take plenty of beating in the seventh at Gosford tonight.
The son of Dyna Villa has only made five appearances at the races since debuting last month but has more than stamped himself as a runner to follow, winning three times.
He does appear to have the strongest box speed of any chaser in the field and will need to, from the draw.
This looks to be a race in two between Toddler Tantrum and Block Me, and I’m going to have a Same Race Multi.
Toddler Tantrum has been a model of consistency this prep and is drawn to receive all the favours, while Block Me will take winning form into the race and is more than capable of winning again.
I can’t split them, so I’m going select both runners to finish in the first two, along with Texas Target to finish in the first four.
Our Same Race Multi selections are:
- 1 Toddler Tantrum (Top 2)
- 8 Block Me (Top 2)
- 2 Texas Target (Top 4)
