Classy New South Welshman Jungle Deuce will have his first look at the Victorian way of going tonight, and I’m confident he’ll be winning.
The son of Barcia Bale has made just five appearances at the races since debuting in January but simply could not have been more impressive, winning each in dominant fashion.
The wide box shouldn’t be anything of an issue; he has won from 7 on two occasions previously and with even luck, he’ll be in the finish.
Silken has been nothing short of luckless recently, but she looks to be suited to the conditions of Race 7 at Sandown Park tonight and I’m happy to give her another chance.
The daughter of Barcia Bale charged home to score an impressive win in slick time at Geelong late last month, but she has run into trouble early in each of her last three starts and simply never got into the contest.
She can use her box speed to take up the running from an inside draw tonight and she will take catching.
Zipping Sultan has won every time that he has stepped onto the Sandown Park 515m course and he can keep alive that record in Race 8 tonight.
Zipping Sultan simply couldn’t run a bad race earlier in his prep, and while he was undone by poor luck two and three starts back, he stormed home from Box 6 to finish a close-up second behind Party Lights last time out.
Returning to his pet conditions is obviously ideal and he can return to winning form.
Stiff Wind is drawn to get the gun run at Sandown Park tonight and looks the runner to beat in Race 11.
The son of Cosmic Rumble has produced plenty of eye-catching efforts this campaign and was unlucky to be pipped late by the talented Omega Tyson here last week.
He shouldn’t have to do as much early work this week and that should convert into a better performance.
