Sandown Park: Race 5 (8:04pm AEDT)
No. 1 Tiger Time

Tiger Time is chasing a hat-trick of wins when he steps out in the fifth at Sandown Park tonight and looks well placed to pull it off.

The classy son of Shima Bar rarely returns a poor effort, but his last two races have been nothing short of outstanding, and saw him beat plenty of talented chasers, in fast time.

He can go straight to the lead from Box 1 and will give them something to chase.

Sandown Park: Race 6 (8:25pm AEDT)
Same Race Multi

Aston Ulysses has been a strong and consistent performer this campaign and looms as the runner to beat again in Race 6 at Sandown Park tonight.

The son of Aston Dee Bee has won four of his last eight starts, placing on three other occasions, and he was particularly dominant at this track and distance last week, so I’m going to select him as the winner in a Same Race Multi.

Jayville Slick has continued to improve with racing recently and is drawn ideally, while Lot Coin Babe tends to keep her best racing for this track and trip, so I’m going to select those runners to finish in the first three and four respectively.

Our Same Race Multi selections are:

  • 2 Aston Ulysses (Win)
  • 1 Jayville Slick (Top 3)
  • 4 Lot Coin Babe (Top 4)
Sandown Park: Race 8 (9:04pm AEDT)
No. 2 Nangar Rust

Nangar Rust was a very impressive winner at this track and distance last week and gets another chance to win in Race 8 tonight.

It took him a few to get going earlier in his prep, but the son of Bella Infrared has certainly found top gear, and that was underlined when he put paid to a similar field last time out.

If he steps well tonight, I cannot find a reason why he won’t be in the finish again.

Sandown Park: Race 12 (10:27pm AEDT)
No. 1 Rockstar Haynes

This shapes as one of the better races on tonight’s Sandown Park program, but the consistent Rockstar Haynes looks up to winning.

Rockstar Haynes doesn’t win out of turn, but he also rarely run a bad race and has found form around some above-average chasers recently.

He was forced to do plenty of work from Box 5 at The Meadows last week but still charged into third place, and a repeat of that effort from Box 1 tonight would see him into the finish.
