The Scorchers finally got a w in on the board on New Year’s Eve against the Strikers and it is no surprise to find them as the slight favourites here at home.
Melbourne, meanwhile, find themselves in a complete downward spiral after losing their opening to this same Perth side last month.
The ‘Gades have lost five straight following their New Year’s Day result against the Thunder while they’ve also lost two of their last three against Perth.
The Sixers are looking to extend their winning streak to five in a row as they take on Adelaide for the second time this season.
Sydney won by 38 runs when these two sides met a fortnight ago and it is very difficult to back against them right now.
The Strikers, on the other hand, lost by seven wickets earlier in the week against the struggling Scorchers, a result that doesn’t bode too well against the best bowling attack in the league.
To make matters worse, the Sixers have now won five straight over the Strikers dating back to 2017 and I’m happy to be with them again here.
