Melbourne Stars vs Hobart Hurricanes
Hurricanes to Win ($1.91)

The Big Bash continues with another exciting clash between the Stars and the Hurricanes at Blundstone Arena this afternoon and betting suggests it’s going to go right down to the wire, currently the bookies cannot split them and there is $1.91 available for both sides.

Glenn Maxwell and Marcus Stoinis currently share favouritism to top score today for the Stars today, $3.50 available for both of those players, Andre Fletcher and Nicholas Pooran are tied on the second line at $5.

D’arcy Short will look to take the game away from the Stars at the top of the order and it probably comes as no surprise that he is the $3.75 favourite to top score for the Hurricanes.

The Stars have been awful throughout the last couple of weeks, and they have been finding ways to lose.

I personally cannot understand why the Hurricanes have been priced as long as they have been, and I am happy to take the $1.91.

Brisbane Heat vs Sydney Thunder
Hales Thunder Top Runscorer

The second clash of the day will see the Brisbane Heat take on the Sydney Thunder at The Gabba, for what will be the final match in Brisbane this season.

The Heat enter this match off the back of their best effort of the season, but betting suggests they’ll find it tough to replicate that performance and result, and they are $2.20 outsiders to beat the Thunder, our firm $1.67 favourites.

Chris Lynn will return to the side that held on to beat the table-topping Sixers on Saturday, and it comes at no surprise that he is the $3.75 to top the run sheet. Saturday’s hero, Max Bryant, is tied on the second line of betting with Joe Denly, both rated $4 chances.

Alex Hales has been on fire for the Thunder and is the $3.50 market favourite to top score for his side, ahead of Usman Khawaja, $3.75, Callum Ferguson $4.25 and Sam Billings, $5.50.

I’m going to stick with Alex Hales today – I think that he’ll relish facing what is a reasonably weak Brisbane Heat bowling attack and at the top of the order, he’ll get every chance to pile on another big score.
