Daily Racing Tips – Sunday January 3

each way
Sale: Race 5 (2:20pm AEDT)
No. 7 Music Of The Night

Music Of The Night finished dead last at Moonee Valley a month ago but it’s worth noting she was only three lengths off the winner Inspirational Girl.

This is obviously a much easier contest for the daughter of Pierro and the step back from the 2040m gives her every chance to bounce back.

She’s a perfect one-for-one at Sale and was also racing consistently prior to her last start.

With some strong form on rain affected tracks, she looks a great each-way bet.

Sale: Race 6 (2:55pm AEDT)
No. 5 Toorak Playboy

Toorak Playboy made up big ground for second last time out at Mornington and looks set to peak stepping back slightly in trip.

The son of Toorak Toff doesn’t win out of turn, but he does love racing at Sale where he’s won twice previously.

Several of the top chances are carrying big weight in this race, but John Allen’s seven-year-old appears to have a slight advantage from the inside draw. Soft track form is also a plus.

best bet
Sunshine Coast: Race 6 (3:35pm AEDT)
No. 2 Platinum Euros

Platinum Euros failed to fire second-up at Doomben after over-racing a little in the early stages.

Natalia McCall’s four-year-old is worth forgiving on that run though, especially after the way she hit the line first-up over this track and trip back in November.

He’s drawn to get the gun run from barrier five and returning back to his home track under apprentice Tiffani Brooker makes him the one to beat.

Sunshine Coast: Race 7 (4:15pm AEDT)
No. 8 Highland Son

Highland Son has found the placings in both runs at this venue since returning to work.

He heads into this contest fit and ready to peak third-up from a spell and has the added luxury of the inside alley working to his advantage.

Kyle Wilson-Taylor’s apprentice claim has been put to good effect, and with two wins on the board at the Sunshine Coast, he looks capable of running a big race at odds.
