Wangaratta: Race 4 (3:05pm AEDT)
No. 8 Fire Wheel

Fire Wheel has only made one appearance at the races so far, but he looks to be a horse of ability and can break his maiden at Wangaratta this afternoon.

The three-year-old son of Unencumbered missed the jump but charged home to only just miss at Echuca on debut, and he’ll take good improvement for that experience.

He has options from the rails draw and looks the one to beat.

Wangaratta: Race 6 (4:15pm AEDT)
No. 1 Wyangle

Wyangle has been a strong and consistent performer this time and he is up to winning again at Wangaratta today, at a lovely price ($10 at publish).

Wyangle finished second over 1300m at Wodonga when resuming before recording a lovely win in the Ted Ryder Prelude here early last month.

Having finished second in the subsequent feature race last time out, he looks to be in peak condition and will be hard to beat, even with the heavy weight in tow.

Wangaratta: Race 8 (5:15pm AEDT)
No. 2 Outlandos

This is a drop in class for Outlandos and he will take plenty of beating.

The Dissident gelding has returned plenty of competitive efforts since returning from a spell and was last seen finishing midfield behind the likes of Laundy at Sandown.

He is rock-hard fit, drawn well and likely won’t be offered a better opportunity to win than this.

Wangaratta: Race 9 (5:45pm AEDT)
No. 13 Kiata

This looks to be one of the better race’s on today’s Wangaratta card, but I’m confident that Kiata will win.

Kiata has improved for two starts back from a spell and was last seen finishing a nose second behind Hot In Paris at Echuca.

Fitter third-up, from the good draw and with a small weight, this looks the perfect race for her.
