Goulburn: Race 1 (2pm AEDT)
No. 2 Rothenburg

Rothenburg will take good improvement into his second campaign start at Goulburn today and is primed to return to winning form.

The Rothesay gelding ran well in better races than this one last time, finishing third behind subsequent two-time Group 1 winner Montefilia at Rosehill most notably.

He was just a length behind the winner in BM70 company at Canberra when resuming and this looks to be an easier race than that.

Goulburn: Race 2 (2:35pm AEDT)
No. 2 Noble Belle

This is a fair drop in class for Noble Belle and she can return to winning form.

The Excelebration mare has improved for three starts back this time and has raced well in decent company.

She is drawn to receive every chance and she has a class edge over most of these rivals.

Goulburn: Race 4 (3:50pm AEDT)
No. 7 Zouly

Zouly will take winning form into the fourth at Goulburn today and looks well placed to make it two in a row.

The Zoustar filly hasn’t missed placing in three starts back this time, culminating in a lovely win at Nowra on New Year’s Eve.

I like that she’s had a trial since that effort, and she’ll be tough to beat.

Goulburn: Race 7 (5:50pm AEDT)
No. 11 Loveland

Loveland has only made one appearance at the races so far and hasn’t been seen since August, but she looks to be a decent type, and she can break her maiden at Goulburn today.

The Not A Single Doubt filly raced greenly and ran out of steam when sixth at Kembla Grange on debut, but she has reportedly taken good improvement from her time away from racing, and she has returned two nice trials in the lead-up to her return.

She has options from the rails draw and can fight out the finish.
