Gosford: Race 4 (7:58pm AEDT)
Same Race Multi

Empress Tears will take winning form into the fourth at Gosford tonight and looks well placed to make it two in a row.

The daughter of Fernando Bale has returned plenty of good efforts this campaign, but her last-start performance and win here at Gosford was excellent and she strikes a virtually identical race tonight, so I’m going to select her as the winner in a Same Race Multi.

For value, I’m also going to select Jerry Pop to finish in the first three and Tan Can Go the first four.

Our Same Race Multi selections are:

  • 2 Empress Tears (Win)
  • 1 Jerry Pop (Top 3)
  • 3 Tan Can Go (Top 4)
Gosford: Race 7 (8:58pm AEDT)
No. 3 Casual Glance

Casual Glance looks well suited to the conditions of Race 7 at Gosford tonight and can return to winning form.

The son of Keybow won four races in succession through November and December, placing at his next two before a luckless run at Wentworth Park last time out.

He’s rock-hard fit, can go straight to the lead and will be tough to catch.

Gosford: Race 9 (9:38pm AEDT)
No. 2 Discard Road

Discard Road is another chaser that can go forward from an inside draw tonight and will give them something to chase.

The daughter of Barcia Bale has been a model of consistency this prep and has missed placing just once in her last six appearances.

She maps to take up the running and over the short trip, can lead all the way.

Gosford: Race 10 (9:59pm AEDT)
No. 8 Shafted

Shafted has been a strong and consistent performer this campaign and looks the one to beat in the last at Gosford again tonight.

The daughter of Spring Gun has won two of her last three starts, including an utterly dominant performance at The Gardens on the weekend, which she her lead the whole way.

With even luck from out wide, I can’t find a reason why she won’t be in the finish again.
