Bomb Proof is drawn to receive the gun run in Race 6 at Sandown Park tonight and will take a power of beating.
The don of Collision simply doesn’t know how to run a bad race and can carve out very fast times when conditions suit, so I’m going to select him as the winner in a Same Race Multi.
For value, I’m also going to select Sweet Impala to finish in the first three and Lady Pandora the first four.
Our Same Race Multi selections are:
- 1 Bomb Proof (Win)
- 2 Sweet Impala (Top 3)
- 6 Lady Pandora (Top 4)
Zipping Ticket has been a model of consistency this campaign and looks the runner to beat in Race 8 at Sandown Park.
The daughter of Allen Deed hasn’t missed placing at her last four appearances and charged home from the outside draw to finish a close second over 660m last time out.
There doesn’t look to be much pace drawn inside, so she can go forward tonight and will give them something to chase.
Notorious has found form around some talented chasers since returning this time and will take plenty of beating in the ninth at Sandown Park tonight.
Notorious was blocked for a run and was simply never given the opportunity to get into his race at Warrnambool two back, but responded with a big run at this track and distance last week and was only just denied by Zipping Hamish.
He is another runner that can go straight to the lead and will prove tough to catch.
Lektra Yoyo doesn’t win out of turn, but he also rarely runs a bad race, and he might not be offered a better opportunity to break back into the winner’s stall than this.
The son of Dundee Osprey has missed a placing just once in his last six starts and overcome Box 4 to only just miss at Geelong last week.
A repeat of that effort from the rails draw tonight would see him into the finish again.
