Sandown Park: Race 5 (8:04pm AEDT)
No. 1 Wild Card

Wild Card has returned some eye-catching efforts recently and will be tough to catch in the fifth at Sandown Park tonight.

The talented son of Kinloch Brae took up the running here last week and was unlucky to be pipped by a couple of good ones in the race’s final strides.

He can emulate his positive tactics from Box 1 tonight and is rock-hard fit for this contest.

Sandown Park: Race 7 (8:49pm AEDT)
No. 1 Mepunga Felix

Mepunga Felix enters Race 7 at Sandown Park off the back of an utterly dominant performance and win under the same conditions, and I can’t find a reason why he won’t be in the finish again.

The son of Barcia Bale simply doesn’t know how to run a bad race, putting paid to his rivals in two of his last three starts, and finishing sixth in Group 1 company on the other occasion.

He is drawn to receive the gun run again tonight and can win again.

Sandown Park: Race 9 (9:28pm AEDT)
No. 2 Crackerjack Kane

Crackerjack Thunder stormed home from out wide to only just miss at Cranbourne last week and gets a chance to go one better this evening.

A son of Oaks Road, Crackerjack Thunder has continued to improve with racing this campaign and recorded an impressive win under almost identical conditions here two starts back.

If he steps well from the inside draw, he’ll be very hard to beat again.

Sandown Park: Race 11 (10:12pm AEDT)
Same Race Multi

Zipping Burns tends to go to another level when he leaves from an inside draw and looks the one to beat in the eleventh at Sandown Park tonight.

The son of Barcia Bale has been a model of consistency this time and charged home to win two back, leaving from Box 1.

I’m going to select him as the winner in a Same Race Multi and build out my bet with Swift By Design finishing in the first three, and Fernando Booker finishing in the first four.

Our Same Race Multi selections are:

  • 1 Zipping Burns (Win)
  • 2 Swift By Design (Top 3)
  • 6 Fernando Booker (Top 4)
