For the second time in only three days, the Hobart Hurricanes and Adelaide Strikers will face off in BBL10.
The Hurricanes drew first blood with a hard fought eleven-run victory on Sunday afternoon but so far, the bookies cannot split them ahead of tonight’s second meeting – at publish, we’re faced with $1.91 each side.
D’Arcy Short failed to get off the mark against the Sixers last Thursday, but he responded with an impressive 72 to top score against the Strikers on Sunday afternoon, and it probably comes as no surprise that he is the $3.25 favourite to repeat that effort tonight.
Jake Weatherald and Phil Salt are tied $3.75 favourites to top score for the Strikers, ahead of Matt Renshaw ($4.50) and Jon Wells ($5.50). Dan Worral led the way with the bat for the Strikers on Sunday afternoon, and is available at odds of $41 to repeat that effort tonight.
Hobart have obviously been impressive enough to remain undefeated during their first two BBL10 outings, and while I’m confident they’ll return another competitive effort tonight, I think that Adelaide will take improvement for their first game and win this. The $1.91 is great value.
