Doomben: Race 3 (2:20pm AEDT)
No. 8 Our Fraulein

Our Fraulein won her maiden over this trip at Ipswich four runs back before a luckless outing at Eagle Farm two weeks ago.

The step up to the mile clearly didn’t suit her that day and neither did the soft track, so getting back to the 1350m should be ideal for the Snitzel mare as she looks to atone.

She’s found the money in six of her 12 runs to date and jockey Larry Cassidy looks to have a few options at his disposal from the soft draw.

Doomben: Race 5 (3:35pm AEDT)
No. 8 Bleu Zebra

Bleu Zebra strips fitter for her last start third over the track and distance and should prove tough to hold out if apprentice Georgina Cartwright can make full use of her early speed.

The filly by I Am Invincible finished second among Saturday grade during the winter at Eagle Farm behind Mishani Miss, the same horse she ran third to three weeks ago.

She gets the cross-over nose band on for the first time on Wednesday and should go straight to the front.

Doomben: Race 6 (4:10pm AEDT)
No. 6 Hopeful Star

There’s been a big go for Hopeful Star in the sixth at Doomben this afternoon.

After opening at $20, she’s been crunched into $8.50 following her narrow last start win at Doomben over a similar distance a fortnight ago.

She showed a real turn of foot that day and already has two wins from six starts on the board at Doomben.

If Andrew Spinks can time his run, the pair should be bursting on to the scene late.

Doomben: Race 7 (4:50pm AEDT)
No. 9 Mistress Of Doom

Quite like the setup here for Mistress Of Doom going from the 1050m back up to the 1200m.

The Hulbert-trained filly ran on well first-up at Ipswich over the same distance last month before finding things a little tougher second-up when sixth to Mishani Miss at this same venue.

She broke through for her maiden during the winter at Doomben back in June and should be charging the line late with next to no weight on her back.
