2020 Wyong Magic Millions Day Tips & Preview

The Magic Millions 2 Year Old Classic is the feature race of the day at Wyong on Wednesday afternoon and the race has again attracted a quality group of juveniles.

There is only six races on the program but our full 2020 Wyong Magic Millions Day Tips & Preview can be viewed below.

Race 1: Class 1 Handicap (1600m) 2:20pm
No. 4 Clear Blonde

The Jason Coyle trained Clear Blonde has just one win from seven career starts but rarely puts in a bad run.

She was not far away at Kembla Grange two back and was doing her best work late at Newcastle last strart.

Drawn well and the step back to 1600m suits.

Race 2: Maiden Handicap (1350m) 2:55pm
No. 2 Chateaux Park

The favourite in this race has been backed into a price that is far too short especially for a horse that is clearly looking for further.

Chateaux Park is the way I would recommend going at an each way price.

He was excellent when returning at Canberra for a third and will only improve on that effort.

Race 3: Magic Millions 3 & 4 Year Old's (1200m) 3:30pm
No. 3 Spaceboy

Spaceboy has been an incredibly consistent performer over his 18 start career having been unplaced just four times.

There is plenty of rain around on the northern beaches at the moment and Spaceboy managed two really impressive wins last prep on the heavy surface.

He is having his fourth run this prep and will have a fitness edge on a few of these which may prove the difference late in the race.

Race 4: Benchmark 64 Handicap (1100m) 4:05pm
No. 5 On Her Word

On Her Word is returning to the race track for the first time since October 2019 but she has proven she has a fair amount of class in the past.

She is yet to miss a place in five career starts and her recent trial win leading into this first up assignment was dominant.

There is always a query over a five year old mare after such a long time off so watch betting for a better guide.

Race 5: Magic Millions 2 YO Classic (1100m) 4:40pm
No. 15 Gleneagles

I loved the way Gleneagles trialed at Randwick leading into his racing debut.

The son of Capitalist was asked for an effort when racing on the inside of horses and he responded really well to show a nice turn of foot and win the trial.

He is currently the first emergency for the race but with rain around, I’m confident there will be scratching and he has been well backed in early betting.

Race 6: Benchmark 68 Handicap (1600m) 5:15pm
No. 2 Foxborough

Foxborough is a handy mare and although she doesn’t win out of turn, she always gives her all.

She handles the heavy going well and although she has a tricky gate to overcome, I think she can finish our day on a winning note.
