Sandown Park: Race 2 (7:19pm AEDT)
Same Race Multi

Immunity immediately ran into trouble in what was a total forgive run here last week, and this looks the perfect opportunity for her to bounce back into the winner’s stall.

The daughter of Kc And All has won six of her last eight starts, including one in particularly slick time at this track and distance two back.

From Box 1 she can dictate terms, so I’m going to select her as the winner in a Same Race Multi.

For value, I’m also going to select Zipping Albert and Tough Tears to both finish in the first four.

Our Same Race Multi selections are:

  • 1 Immunity (Win)
  • 2 Zipping Albert (Top 4)
  • 3 Tough Tears (Top 4)
Sandown Park: Race 5 (8:19pm AEDT)
No. 2 Wild Card

Wild Card has been outstanding this preparation and shapes as a winning chance in Race 5 at Sandown Park tonight.

The son of Kinloch Brae has missed placing just once in his last eight starts, winning on five occasions, including two in succession leading into this contest.

I’m wary of early favourite Wallbanger drawn just on his outside, but I think that Wild Card will be able to use his superior box speed to go forward, and he will give them all something to chase.

Sandown Park: Race 7 (8:58pm AEDT)
No. 7 Dr. Tucker

Dr. Tucker has been airborne this campaign, and he looks the runner to beat again in the seventh at Sandown Park tonight.

The classy son of Bernardo has been a strong and consistent performer throughout his entire racing career, but it is fair to say that he has gone to a new level recently and won six races in succession through September and October, including the Group 3 Great Chase Final at The Meadows.

He again finished third in Group 3 company last week, but this is a drop in class from that contest and he is primed to win.

Sandown Park: Race 8 (9:19pm AEDT)
No. 5 Last Hurrah

Last Hurrah is another runner that has been outstanding this time, and who looks a winning chance again at Sandown Park tonight.

The son of Where’s Pedro has won each of his last seven starts, all comfortably and in fast time.

He needs only step well from the potentially awkward box tonight to be in the finish again, and I really can’t find a reason why he won’t.
