The Bold Trease Final is the first Group 1 contest on tonight’s program at Sandown Park and Houdini Boy will take a power of beating.
The talented son of Zambora Brockie has won six of his last eight starts, finishing second on the other two occasions, and he was a dominant winner in a heat for this race last week.
There isn’t much value left in his quote, so I am instead going to select him as the winner in a Same Race Multi.
For value, I’m also going to select both Sunset Bourbski and Sweet As Emm to finish in the first four.
Our Same Race Multi selections are:
- 6 Houdini Boy (Win)
- 1 Sunset Bourbski (Top 4)
- 2 Sweet As Emm (Top 4)
There might not be a more talented chaser currently going around in Australia than Simon Told Helen, and he is my pick to win the Melbourne Cup Final.
The son of Barcia Bale doesn’t know how to run a bad race, and has enjoyed a typically glittering campaign this time, including a dominant win here last week.
He’s drawn to receive every chance and I can’t find a reason why he won’t be in the finish.
Get It Gizmo will take winning form into this contest and is well placed to make it two in a row.
The son of Kinloch Brae has been reasonably luckless recently, but he bounced back into the winner’s stall in utterly dominant fashion last time out, beating home his rivals by close to six lengths at The Meadows.
This is tougher, but he’s drawn to effort and with even luck, can win again.
Aston Samurai has gone to another level recently and strikes another winnable contest at Sandown Park tonight.
The son of Aston Dee Bee has won four of his last six starts, including another dominant run at The Meadows last time out.
He’s rock-hard fit, is drawn to receive a lovely run and can win again.
