Plenty of these country horse come into this race in very good winning form making it a very open betting race.
Total Recall has won three of his past four including a 8.8 length win at Scone over 2200m last start carrying 63.5kg.
He has drawn a tricky barrier but he seems to have a class edge on most of these runners.
Le Gai Soleil resumed with a really nice win at Randwick when she showed an excellent turn of foot late in the race over the 1550m.
The Tavistock mare has managed four wins from six career starts so far in her short career and the step up in distance should not pose a problem for her when you consider her breeding.
She has a heap of upside and she can make it two from two this prep in this event despite the awkward barrier.
It’s hard to go past the colt by Capitalist in the feature race of the day at Rosehill.
He came from off the speed to claim his rivals in just a few short bounds in the Victory Vein at Randwick and if he will only improve on that effort in this event.
She’s a beauty Savatiano.
She has been placed in 22 of her 35 career race starts and rarely puts in a bad run.
The six year old mare has performed at this level for quite a while and whilst she hasn’t secured a win so far this prep, you know she will give her all.
Oxford Tycoon resumed with a win at Port Macquarie over 1200m before finishing within two lengths of the very smart Hilo last time out.
That is a good form reference heading into this race and the five year old gelding looks well placed stepping up in distance.
Thomas Stockdale will give some weight relief.
Intrepidacious has been scratched so I’m happy to be with the Chris Waller trained Macushla who has been racing well and has a great record on the heavy surface.
