One-Eyed Richmond Grand Final Preview

One-Eyed Richmond Grand Final Preview

They may not have daylight savings in Queensland, but they’ll be setting their watches to TIGER TIME come Saturday night at The Gabba when Richmond wins their third premiership in four years.

It’s a juicy multi of:

1st leg – The Journey   ✅

2nd leg – The Destiny  ✅

3rd leg – The Dynasty  ⁇

Paying the juicy price of ULTIMATE SUCCESS 💰 🏆

Right now, it’s Richmond vs The World.

But we don’t care and wouldn’t have it any other way.

Haters gonna hate, but Tiges are gonna Tiges as our 13th premiership awaits us.

GUESS WHO'S COMING FOR DYNASTY?
Richmond to win by 40+ @ $8.70

Richmond doesn’t just win grand finals.

They destroy their opponents both physically and mentally on football’s biggest day.

Both Adelaide and GWS have lost to Richmond in Grand Finals and never lived to tell the tale.

There is no redemption after going down to the Tigers in what many people like to refer to as “the big dance”

However, us Richmond folk have long memories.

Geelong has a history of torturing Richmond and absolutely crushing the Cats spirits in a Grand Final would be very satisfying.

Playing Geelong once sent a shiver down the Tigers spine – Ablett Snr making us his personal bunnies, the 1995 prelim, THAT 157 point belting in 2007, however, the tide has turned.

We smashed that glass ceiling the Cats had on us back in the 2017 Qualifying Final and we’ve never looked back.

The only time the Cats have beaten us since was when they took on our VFL team, ever since then we’ve had their measure.

One only needs to look back to our performance in last years Preliminary Final or back in Round 17 at Metricon Stadium when we kept them down to 1 goal up until 3 quarter time and broke every single bit of their so-called “Control”

Our average winning margin from our past two Grand Final wins is 92.5 points.

It ain’t gonna be pretty for the Catters, but premiership number 13 will be a thing of beauty for the Tiger Army.

LYNCHMOND
Tom Lynch 4+ Goals @ $7.50

Everyone’s favourite footballer Tom Lynch is made for these moments.

According to the website known for rational, sane and non-sensationalist views – twitter dot com, Tom Lynch is the first forward that gets a bit aggressive and is mean to players that tag him.

Prior to Tom Lynch arriving at Punt Road, dominant tall forwards were always known for being kind, friendly and showed no emotion but a big grateful smile and were just happy to be there.

Lynch is great.

Our big, towering forward who plays on the edge and won’t let anyone stand in his way, getting on with the job and kicking sausage rolls.

Geelong thinks having aged-pensioner Harry Taylor play on him will stop this footballing giant, but everyone’s favourite footballer – Tom Lynch will run rings around him.

Lynch broke Cat hearts kicking 5.1 in last years Preliminary Final.

He will crush their soul kicking 4+ this Saturday night as he becomes a two-time Richmond premiership player.

HOULI-DOOLEY
Bachar Houli - Norm Smith Medal @ $12

There is no finals player quite like Dustin Martin and to be the bridesmaid to the great one is quite the achievement.

This has been the case for Bachar Houli in both 2017 and 2019.

The ‘Houli should have won the Norm Smith in 2017’ debate is of a similar discussion to that of Shannon Noll should have won Australian Idol in 2003.

Bachar Houli is a better human being than anyone reading this blog will ever be. Full stop.

It goes without saying, he’s also a far better footballer than the entire readership of the Neds blog.

His performances in finals are sublime and he’ll get the Norm Smith he so deserves along with his third premiership medal this Saturday night.
