Daily Racing Tips – Friday, October 30

Wagga: Race 4 (3:20pm AEDT)
No. 3 Evanora

Evanora has returned two nice efforts since debuting and is ready to break her maiden at Wagga this afternoon.

The Magic Albert filly filled the minors at Leeton on debut and was last seen finishing a nose second at this track and distance.

Fitter third-up and from an inside draw, she looks the runner to beat on exposed form.

Wagga: Race 7 (5:10pm AEDT)
No. 9 Zelago

Zelago will take winning form into Race 7 at Wagga this afternoon and can make it two in a row.

The four-year-old son of Delago Deluxe has continued to improve with racing this preparation and was rewarded for his form with a lovely win at Canberra last time, on a rain-affected track and with 60.5kgs in tow.

He’ll get similar conditions today, but a significant drop in the weights.

The Valley: Race 1 (5:30pm AEDT)
No. 7 Bobsled

Bobsled has returned two eye-catching efforts since making his debut, and he can record his first win in Race 1 at The Valley.

The Richard Laming-trained gelding was unlucky not to win when a head second at Murtoa on debut, and he was smart through the line when third at Mornington last time out.

He harbours plenty of upside, is drawn ideally and gets the services of in-form hoop Jamie Kah for this race.

Wagga: Race 8 (5:45pm AEDT)
No. 5 Logan River

Logan River’s last two starts have left a bit to the imagination, but he is more than capable on his day, and I think that this looks a great opportunity for him to bounce back into winning form.

The Snitzel gelding returned to the races with an impressive performance and win at this track and distance in August, before finishing second in BM87 company over 1200m.

His last two runs have been spaced, and this is a drop in class from his most-recent outing at Canberra – at $16, I think that he is over the odds.
