Simply Houdini failed to fire last time out, but her form prior was good, and this looks like a good opportunity for her to bounce back.
The daughter of Fernando Bale flew home from out wide to score at this track and distance two back, but she immediately ran into traffic from Box 6 last week and was never in the contest.
Box 2 is a far better draw from her and with even luck, she can fight out the finish.
Old Mick Banner will take winning form into the eighth at Wentworth Park tonight, and he can make it two in a row.
The son of Dyna Double One rarely runs a bad race, but his performance over 600m at The Gardens last time out was particularly eye-catching.
He’ll have the benefit of an empty box on his outside for this race, and is looks another very winnable contest.
Merciless Ming was check out of his race here early last week, but his form prior was outstanding, and I am happy to give him another chance tonight.
The son of Don’t Knocka Him won three in succession leading into last week’s miss, and his form at this track and distance has been particularly strong.
He’s another runner that will have an empty draw on his outside, and he can use his good early speed to overcome the central box.
Stanley Road is faced with a drop in class at Wentworth Park tonight and can return to winning form.
The son of Allen Deed won three races in succession last month and was last seen filling the minors here at Wentworth Park, finishing less than two lengths from the winner.
He goes on top of tonight’s Same Race Multi.
I’m also going to select Tiro Sunrise to finish in the first three and Special Effects the first four.
Our Same Race Multi selections are:
- 4 Stanley Road (Win)
- 2 Tiro Sunrise (Top 3)
- 1 Special Effects (Top 4)
