The Premier League is once again in full swing, and it hasn’t taken long for Neds punters to find their feet.
Week 4 proved to be a particularly lucrative round for one lucky punter, who turned an investment of just $50 into a life-changing windfall of $34,609.50!
Our punter in question picked the winning result in eight of the ten Premier League fixtures in Week 4, beginning with Saturday night’s London Derby between Chelsea and Crystal Palace.
It took 50 minutes for Ben Chilwell to break the deadlock, but the floodgates were well and truly opened at that point and the Blues won 4-0.
It was the next couple of moves that our punter made that ultimately displayed his knowledge of the beautiful game and added most of the meat to his multi.
Clearly unconvinced by what he has seen of a couple of the league’s better sides so far, our punter select the newly-promoted Leeds United to hold Manchester City to draw, as well as West Ham to deliver Leicester City their first defeat of the new campaign.
Tick, Tick.
Everton beat Brighton, Newcastle overcame Burnley, Southampton accounted for West Brom and Wolves snuck home against Fulham.
Our punter must have been experiencing some kind of unique feeling at this point of the night, given he was so close to pulling off a major win, but also that it relied on Arsenal beating Sheffield United.
An hour past at the Emirates without a score, but almost from nowhere, the Gunners went bang, bang via Bukayo Saka and Nicolas Pepe in the 61st and 64th minute, and an 84th-minutes strike from the Blades’ David McGoldrick wasn’t enough to peg back the deficit.
What was perhaps most impressive about this multi was that our punter didn’t include reigning champions Liverpool, who are typically one of the first clubs chosen in Premier League multis each week, and who suffered a shock thrashing at the hands of Aston Villa in Week 4.
A big congratulations to our punter from the entire team at Neds!
