Members, supporters and lovers of the pride of Brisbane town.
It’s time.
It’s our time.
It’s time to win a final.
It’s time to take that first step towards playing in the one and only Grand Final at the home of the mighty Brisbane Lions (proudly sponsored by Neds), the Gabba
More importantly, it’s time to bloody beat Richmond and there’s never a better time than in a home final at the Gabba in front of the adoring Lions faithful.
We’re not going out in straight sets this finals series, we’re not dropping another one to the Tigers, it ain’t going to happen.
It’s time.
We all know about the Lions Tiger hoodoo – 15 straight losses, we know that the reigning premier hasn’t beaten us at the Gabba since 2004.
We can’t change that.
What Chris Fagan has done has gone with that winning formula of channelling Arnold Schwarzenegger/Leigh Matthews with the quote “If it bleeds, we can kill it.”
Chris Fagan has channelled Leigh Matthews and the three-peat @brisbanelions as Brisbane look to claim their first win over Richmond in 11 years.

Hoodoos are made to be broken.
We’ve snapped plenty since Fages took over the top job at the Lions den, and he will be the man that helps us beat the Tigers and take us to the promised land.
Mark my words.
He’s won every single award there is to win in the AFL this season and they could save us all having to watch a virtual Brownlow Medal and just give it to him already.
However, for all the accolades heading Lachie’s way there’s only one thing on his mind:
Winning on Friday night.
Lachie Neale is saving his best for the finals – when it really matters and a serious case of leather poisoning is on the cards this Friday night.
Lachie Neale has proved a brilliant recruit in his two seasons with the @brisbanelions, and is only keen to get even better.
The midfield star opens up to @CalTwomey on how he got to the top of his game.

So it looks like we won’t get that Mitch Robinson-Tom Lynch matchup we were all looking forward to.
That’s ok – we’ll save it for the Grand Final.
However, while the Lynch-Robbo showdown may not feature, the Robbo Show most certainly will.
Just picture the looks on those uppity, arrogant and feral Richmond supporters as Robbo kicks the sealer to ensure the Lions a spot in a Preliminary Final.
Oh how glorious it would be!
Fair to say Mitch Robinson isn't a fan of Tom Lynch… 👀

BONUS Big Cat Derby Tipster – Carole Baskin
Before we leave, we figured we’d ask an expert on who would win in a fight between Lions and Tigers – the one and only Carole Baskin from Big Cat Rescue.
She is hoping the Lions bury the Tigers deeper than Don Lewis.
Ned Merrett-Murray is Neds resident Brisbane Lions nuffie.
The child of the ultimate Brisbane Lions parents, whose mother rattled tins to save Fitzroy and Dad dined with Christopher Skase at Carrara, Ned was a Brisbane Lions diehard from birth.
Ned constantly reminds his wife and kids that 2001, 02 and 03 Grand Final’s were the best days of his life and nothing compares to it.
Ned also believes that the best thing in Sydney is the airport departures lounge.
Ned never misses a game, training session, JLT, AFLW, NEAFL and Fitzroy Ammos match.
Ned lives in Woolongabba with his wife Leigh and twins Chris and Brad and pet fish Vossy, Browny and Blacky.
