Daily Racing Tips – Thursday, September 3

Ipswich: Race 4 (2:13pm)
No. 2 Mondena

This is a rise in class for Mondena, but he was an impressive winner at the Gold Coast last time and can record another.

The Sebring gelding has continued to improve with each of his four starts since debuting, culminating in a comfortable win over 2200m.

There aren’t any real stars in this race, and he should be in the finish again.

Ballarat: Race 6 (4pm)
No. 2 Raffine

The consistent Raffine will go around in Race 6 at Ballarat this afternoon and looks well placed to record another win.

The Toorak Toff mare won in BM64 company here three back and has returned a couple of competitive efforts in the wake, including a close-up second last time out.

She’s at peak fitness for this contest and I can’t find a reason why she won’t be in the finish again.

Muswellbrook: Race 6 (4:35pm)
No. 9 Maibeasy

Maibeasy hasn’t shown her best form this time, but this is a nice drop in class for her and she’s ready to do something third-up.

The Super Easy mare was a strong and consistent performer last time in and ended her prep with an eye-catching win in Class 1 company at Canberra.

This is one of the more open races at Muswellbrook today and at around $18, I’m keen to have an each-way play.

Ballarat: Race 8 (5pm)
No. 12 Redeel

Redeel has only had one career start to date, but she could hardly have been more impressive on debut and she can make a winning return at Ballarat this afternoon.

The Dundeel filly was settled in behind the pace at Pakenham and mustered an eye-catching turn of foot to beat her rivals.

Her recent performances in trials have been good and she can continue her rise through the grades today.
