Luboko was an impressive last start winner and looks the one to beat in Race 9 at Healesville this afternoon.
The son of Worm Burner has continued to improve with racing recently, but his last-start effort at this track and distance and in slick time suggested that he has found peak condition.
He can stay away from traffic from out wide and with even luck, I can’t find a reason why he won’t be in the finish again.
Danyo’s Charlie is another impressive last start winner that is stepping out today, and he looks the one to beat in the fifth at Angle Park.
Danyo’s Charlie simply doesn’t know how to run a bad race, and he has won three of his last five starts, placing on the other two occasions.
He can go straight to the lead from Box 1 and will be tough to run down over the 338m.
Jannila is unlucky not to have won every start since she made her debut, and she can bounce back into the winner’s stall tonight.
The daughter of Barcia Bale won four in succession before running third over 425m last week – the first defeat of her career.
She’ll have conditions to suit tonight and she goes on top of our Same Race Multi.
Equalizer needs only even luck to be in the finish, so I’m going to select him to finish in the first three, while Aston Heidi adds value to finish in the first four.
Our Same Race Multi selections are:
- 2 Jannila (Win)
- 7 Equalizer (Top 3)
- 8 Aston Heidi (Top 4)
He might need some early luck from Box 4, but Soda Diamond has been airborne recently and looks a winning chance again in the tenth at Shepparton tonight.
The son of Barcia Bale has won five of his last eight starts, finishing second on two other occasions, and he was last seen powering home to score at this track and distance.
He certainly has the runs on the board, he just needs one to open up tonight.
