Healesville: Race 5 (12:17pm)
No. 6 Succession Plan

Succession Plan beat a similar field to the line at this track and distance last time out, and he looks good value in the market to make it two in a row this afternoon ($5.50 at publish).

The son of Banjo Boy has been a consistent performer this campaign, but there’s no doubt that he has continued to improve with racing, and that culminated in his lovely win here last time.

He’ll have the benefit of an empty box on his inside for this contest and I’m happy to stick with him.

Healesville: Race 12 (2:37pm)
No. 8 Man City Boy

Man City Boy hasn’t been seen at the races since February, but he is an above-average athlete and he can make a winning return at Healesville this afternoon.

The son of Barcia Bale returned some typically enormous performances in tougher races than this one during his last preparation, and he does have an excellent record here.

He can stay away from traffic from Box 8 and with even luck, he’ll be in the finish.

Richmond: Race 5 (8:38pm)
Same Race Multi

El Timmy will take winning form into the fifth at Richmond tonight and looks well placed to win again.

The son of Thirty Talks has only made five appearances at the races so far, but he has won twice and placed twice and is clearly a dog on the rise, so I’m going to select him as the winner in a Same Race Multi.

Satirical is drawn awkwardly (6), but is also a quality runner, so he goes in the top three, while Money Too Tight adds value to run in the first four.

Our Same Race Multi selections are:

  • 3 El Timmy (Win)
  • 6 Satirical (Top 3)
  • 1 Money Too Tight (Top 4)
Richmond: Race 6 (8:57pm)
No. 6 Sanctify

Sanctify’s performance in the heat for this race last week was enormous, and I simply have to put him on top of tonight’s Group 3 Richmond Riches Final.

The son of Allen Deed has been a strong and consistent performer this time, but really put the writing on the wall with a fifteen-length triumph here last week.

This is harder, and so too is his draw, but he clearly has the ability and should get a nice cart into the race.
