The Bachelor 2020 Form Guide

The Bachelor 2020 Form Guide

Get ready for The Bachelor 2020 style as this year’s series gets underway on our TV screens this Wednesday night.

This year’s Bachelor is two-time Survivor contestant/professional adventure guide/Instagram influencer Locky Gilbert.

There’s no denying, he’s a good looking rooster.

In the midst of a global pandemic and dating with social distancing restrictions, we’re in for an eventful few weeks as Locky hands out the roses while trying to find his one true love.

A Melbourne Cup field (with a scratching) of 23 women are all vying to be Locky’s one and only by the end of this series.

We profile this year’s Bachelorettes and their chances in our betting market.

Irena Srbinovska
$1.90

The 31-year-old nurse from Victoria has described herself as “…always the bridesmaid and never the bride.”

Chatty and confident, Irena is apparently passionate about the environment and animals.

Given Locky’s background as someone who likes the outdoors and the fact she’s more mature and probably as full-on compared to who else we are about to meet on this series, she opens the betting as the $1.90 favourite.

Irena has already shown off her medical background in upcoming promos for the series.

Bella Varelis
$2.50

It appears Locky gets lost in Bella’s eyes upon introduction.

All of the feels.

Bella’s profile on the Channel 10 Bachelor website describes her as “Passionate about environmental conservation, Bella loves the ocean and spends most of her time there. The 25-year-old always gives people the benefit of the doubt and with a bad habit of attracting men who are not ready for a relationship, Bella is ready to build a life with someone special.”

The younger age may be a factor here, but Bella can go the distance.

Marlaina McPhillips
$6

Marlaina describes herself as footy-crazy and a Dad-joke enthusiast.

She already ticks a lot of our boxes and opens the betting as a solid $6 chance.

Apparently she’s “sassy and confident” and is a dog-lover.

The 31-year-old fundraising coordinator from Victoria says she “doesn’t have a dream wedding; I just hope I will be able to marry my dream man.”

Smooth.

Marlaina

Nadine Kodsi
$13

The 30-year-old Entrepreneur from Victoria describes her perfect partner ask

“…someone who shares the same morals and values as myself, is respectable and calm, but knows how and when to be a man and can take control, has a good work ethic, plus loves his family and animals”

Driven by her independence, success and confidence is Nadine ready to meet her forever man?

The one time criminologist will be able to play the game and could possibly have this series villain vibes.

We’ll leave it for the editors of the show to decide her fate.

Nadine

Bel Colwell
$13

The 25-year-old media buyer from New South Wales, who’s just a country girl at heart is looking for a man who respects her.

She also claims that her secret talent is guessing Triple J’s Hottest 100 winner, but she failed this year given she probably went out on a limb and picked Dance Monkey.

The most romantic thing Bel has experienced prior to becoming a contestant on The Bachelor was that “My ex brought me a chicken burger and rose for our first Valentines together, that was cute”

Given the COVID19 enforced restrictions during filming, Bel is unlikely to experience a trip to the alps and the chicken burger will be an Uber Eats job.

Bel

Nicole Campbell
$13

“Nicole has a lot of energy” – Locky

The 26-year-old professional dancer from New South Wales makes an impact on her first introduction which was deemed promo-worthy by the publicity department at Channel 10.

She’s also informed the Bachelor Website that along with a love of dance, she has a talent for assembling flat-pack furniture.

Perhaps Nicole isn’t just after a rose, but an Allen-key to Lockys heart as well.

Expect some sort of IKEA product placement tie-in during this series.

Gemma White
$15

The 30-year-old property manager describes her perfect date as:

“…something by the water, maybe a helicopter or yacht to a secluded beach. As long as we were both happy, having some good banter, laughing and having a good time, that’s what matters most.”

She’s in for a world of disappointment once COVID restrictions hit the filming of this series.

Gemma

Paige Royal
$15

The 31-year-old model from Victoria has told The Bachelor Website her reasons for going on the show were

“I have zero interest in dating apps or going to clubs, so I thought I had nothing to lose! I’m a huge romantic and if things were to work out for the Bachelor and I, it would be an incredible fairy-tale love story.”

Will Locky be on the same PAIGE?

$15 says yes.

Paige

Rosemary Sawtell
$17

Rosemary enters the mansion in a penguin suit.

🚨SPOILER ALERT🚨 : She’s not going to win.

I could be wrong, but $17 is a long shot.

According to her profile on The Bachelor website the 23-year-old Queensland retail manager “…has never had a boyfriend and is yet to be in love. Loud, talkative and enthusiastic, the 23-year-old grew up on farms throughout her childhood and is looking for an honest guy who accepts her for who she is and see her as their wife.”

I think it’s more about the friends we’ll make along the way with this one.

Steph Harper
$17

“First impressions of Steph, love a girl that likes a burrito” – Locky

The 26-year-old Special Needs Teacher has a love for all things Old El Paso as the two bond over Mexican Food in their first meeting.

Apparently Steph thinks “short men without banter are an absolute deal-breaker” and there’s no better banter than talking about how you like your Burritos made.

Izzy Sharman-Firth
$19

The 29-year-old HR advisor has informed the Daily Telegraph “It would be a deal-breaker if he was a Trump supporter.”

It’s unconfirmed if Locky will turn up to a date wearing a MAGA hat, but boy oh boy it would make for great television.

Izzy

Clare Lange
$19

The 29-year-old admin assistant describes her dream date as “Just two people hanging out, getting to know each other and having a chat while eating yummy food!”

Given the COVID restrictions imposed during the filming of this series, it looks like Clare’s dreams are about to come true!

Clare

The Outsiders & Early Departures
No Bet

If you draw these names in your Bachelor Sweep, you’ve got no chance I’m afraid.

Georgie and Maddy are at $21

The likes of Roxi, Laura, Charley, Areeba are $31 to win.

Promos suggest that Areeba will be highly entertaining and a fan-favourite

One can only assume Juliette, Marg and Zoe are probably being sent home in the first week and are the $34 long shots.

No Outright Winner
$26

If there’s going to be another year where someone does a Honey Badger, it’s going to be 2020.

The most 2020 thing would be for the Bachelor to not give a rose to anyone and break everyone’s hearts.

Please not let it be and give those of us who believe in true-love something to hope for.

$26 says the show will go full 2020 and not deliver a final rose.
