Challis Sprite typically keeps his best racing for the Healesville straight and he looks the one to beat in Race 8 this afternoon.
The son of Magic Sprite has returned some big performances this campaign, including a smart win in slick time from Box 5 here.
He’s rock-hard fit, can go straight to the lead and will give them something to chase.
Knockabout Sue will take winning form into the fifth at Richmond tonight and is up to winning again.
The daughter of Don’t Knocka Him rarely returns a poor effort, but her last-start performance and win from out wide at Goulburn was particularly eye-catching.
This is harder, but she’ll have conditions to suit and with even luck early, she’ll be tough to catch.
This looks like being the race of the night and Fernando Porche has claims on winning at a lovely price ($14 at publish).
A son of the legendary Fernando Bale, Fernando Porche doesn’t win out of turn, but he also rarely races poorly and has finished outside of the placings just once at his last eight starts.
He’ll need luck from the draw, but the talent is certainly there.
Private Tears strikes another winnable contest at Richmond tonight, particularly having drawn an inside box.
The son of Fernando Bale was an eye-catching winner at Gosford two back and was last seen finishing second in a better race at Wentworth Park.
He goes on top of tonight’s Same Race Multi.
For value, I’m also going to select Giarre and Jerra Lee to finish in the first three and four respectively.
Our Same Race Multi selections are:
- 2 Private Tears (Win)
- 3 Giarre (Top 3)
- 6 Jerra Lee (Top 4)
