The leaders of Super Rugby Aotearoa are off this weekend so the chasing pack will be looking to close the gap during the Blues bye weekend.
All eyes will be on the Highlanders clash with the Crusaders in Dunedin as it shapes up as an exciting contest between two sides with very different motivations.

The Highlanders gave the competition leading Blues an almighty scare last week, going down by just three points and continuing to look far more competitive than expected.
Both of their matches in Super Rugby Aotearoa have been decided by a combined total of four points so they certainly have the ability to play teams close by the looks of things.
Historically though, this rivalry has been fairly one sided with the Crusaders winning the last four meetings by 20 or more points, including a 33-13 win in the original Super Rugby competition earlier this year.
There’s no doubting the Highlanders drive to keep things close but if the Crusaders play anywhere near to their potential, they should be able to cruise to a comfortable victory here.
It’s fair to say the Chiefs Super Rugby Aotearoa campaign has gotten off to the worst imaginable start.
A first up defeat away to the Highlanders was followed by losses to the Blues and Crusaders although bonus points have them above their next opponents.
Having played one less game, the Hurricanes have conceded 69 points to the Chiefs 70 so we could be in for a high scoring affair.
While the Chiefs don’t have the most potent attack, they should be able to cover the line against a Hurricanes side that only just scraped past them earlier this year.
