Three Lions games in eight days.
First the Dons on Friday, Tigers on Tuesday and the Doggies the next Saturday.
Are our boys up for this challenge?
You’d better believe it.
Assistant coach Murray Davis says Lions’ players capacity to learn on the job and their natural enthusiasm would be invaluable over the next block of matches.

The mighty Brisbane Lions (proudly sponsored by Neds) are sitting up high on the ladder, we’re not leaving the state of Queensland and with all the momentum in the world – this feast of Lions footy is going to be something to savour.
But we’ve still gotta take it one game at a time.
We drive back down the M1 to take on our old foe Essendon this Friday night and winning is non-negotiable.
Only a true Brisbane Lions supporter would associate the quote “If it bleeds, we can kill it” with Leigh Matthews back in 2001 rather than Arnold Schwarzenegger in the movie Predator.

The Bombers have actually won their past two encounters against us and the last time we played them was back in Round 4 of last season when the Dons easily disposed of us by 47 points at the MCG.
I don’t like losing to anyone, especially Essendon.
Now is ample opportunity to chalk up the W and keep on our merry ways in season 2020.
Last Sunday night was stressful.
We couldn’t quite get into top gear against the Dees but 2020 Brownlow Medalist Lachie Neale found plenty of the ball and the likes of Haris Andrews and Charlie Cameron always make it worth the price of your membership.
Essendon goes into this game lucky to get a win over the Adelaide Crows.
They are a very hot and cold team and can’t be underestimated.
It’s worth noting that four out of their five wins have been against bottom eight sides and we are by far the better side on paper.
Hit them hard early on the scoreboard and we’ll be on our way to a big win on Friday night.

Charlie Cameron is going nowhere.
Brisbane born. Brisbane star. Brisbane for life (via Adelaide)
Reports suggest all roads point to Charlie Cameron putting pen to paper on a new contract at the Lions in the coming days, it’s just a matter of when.
As if he was going to leave!
Off-field contract issues aside, Charlie simply continues to excite, entertain and get the job done week after week.
He’s the reason you’re lucky enough to be in the grandstand or tune in to watch footy.
Worth every single cent.
I expect 2+ goals from Charlie this Friday night and a whole heap more motorbike action.
It’s a big deal when you make front cover of the Footy Record!
Luke Hodge rates him as one of the best defenders he’s ever played with.
You may as well start referring to Harris Andrews as “All-Australian”
His efforts in our backline most certainly do not go unnoticed and his efforts, especially when it comes to the spoils are elite.
Week after week you can rely on Harris Andrews to be amongst the Lions best and he’s going to make life difficult for the likes of Dylan Sheil, Jacob Townsend and Devon Smith in the Bombers forward 50 this Friday night.
So far in 2020, Andrews is averaging 11 disposals.
He can go above that average and get at least 15 touches of the footy on Friday as he might be in for a busy night.
