After a season of MasterChef like no other, we’re finally down to the Grand Finale week with Emiela, Laura and Reynold the last three standing to take out the Back to Win series.
With a mix of fan favourites, many of whom are runner ups and have gone on to have their own successful careers from previous seasons, competition in the kitchen has been fierce.
New judges Andy, Jock and Melissia have proved their worth and have added some new perspective on this iconic show.
There have been some major upsets in the kitchen this year with the likes of Poh and Callum departing when at various stages during this season were considered short-priced favourites.
We’ve studied the form ahead of the final week of MasterChef: Back to Win.

Originally seen as a “dark horse” at the start of this series, Emelia is now the clear favourite to take out the top gong in this series of MasterChef.
The second contestant eliminated from this series, Courtney predicted this telling website Popsugar “She’s very confident, she’s very cool under pressure, and she’s not the favourite at the minute to win it and sometimes that’s who comes through at the end and wins the show.”
Over the past few months, Emelia has earned a reputation as someone who handles the pressure, hasn’t screwed up and has never been in the bottom of the rankings.
Punters who took her at the $11 price at the start of the series are licking their lips right now, and that’s got nothing to do with her reputation for delicious cakes.

Despite gaining a reputation for being a one-trick pasta pony, Laura has found her way into the top 3 of this series of MasterChef.
After being runner up as a 19-year-old back in season 6, Laura is all grown up and has been dominant throughout this Back to Win Series.
In recent weeks, Laura has let her cooking do the talking.
Her background in working in some of the big restaurants – including Jock’s has put her in good stead.
Due to her previous professional involvement with Jock, some MasterChef fans may liken it to the dad giving the best and fairest to their child in the U12s footy.

But that would be very unfair on Laura, who is rightfully in the final three.
She is every chance of causing a major upset.

Is Reynold the dark horse in this unbelievably talented final 3?
Reynold not only has a reputation as the dessert king but has a creative mind the likes of which the MasterChef kitchen has never seen.
Throughout this series, Reynold has developed a new side to his cooking with amazing savoury dishes as well as his reputation for the sweet stuff.
With a hard-working and methodical way in the kitchen, Reynold will need to get his A-game on if he is to make the Grand Final.

Along with the overall winner, we’re offering a number of specials for punters to get stuck into.
We’re offering a double-chance special for Reynold or Laura to cause an upset at $2.75
We’re also offering $1.75 for Reynold Poernomo to finish in the Top 2.
Those are some solid place-bet odds for one of our market favourites.
