Moe: Race 3 (2:07pm)
No. 9 Plaka

Plaka will take good improvement into her second career start at Moe this afternoon and can break her maiden.

The Godolphin-trained filly showed ability at the trials prior to debuting, and ran home well to finish second behind Killin at Gosford at her first competitive start.

She’s drawn a peach today in barrier 4 and on exposed form, is the one to beat.

best bet
Moe: Race 4 (2:39pm)
No. 14 Sweet Gold

Sweet Gold has improved for two starts back from a spell and is ready to win at Moe this afternoon.

The Havana Gold mare ran home well to fill the minors at Ballarat when resuming and was last seen finishing fourth behind the likes of Queen Of Tarts at Bendigo last time out.

Fitter third-up and further out in trip, she is my best bet of the day.

Moe: Race 7 (4:15pm)
No. 9 Unlimited Ability

The consistent Unlimited Ability will go around in Race 7 at Moe this afternoon and is over the odds to win ($13 at publish).

The Equino gelding hasn’t missed a place at his last three appearances, winning with ease at Werribee three back and finishing a head from the winner here last time out.

He’s rock-hard fit and with even luck from the potentially awkward barrier, I can’t find a reason why he won’t be in the finish again.

Moe: Race 8 (4:47pm)
No. 2 Chatelaine

Chatelaine has improved for three starts back from a spell and is primed to win the last at Moe today.

The four-year-old daughter of Tavistock ran second behind Mystery Shot when resuming at Ballarat, before filling the minors in BM64 company at Cranbourne.

She since ran into a couple of good ones at Geelong, but harbours further improvement and with even luck, can break back into the winner’s stall.
