The Epaulette gelding returned some competitive performance without breaking his maiden last time in, and I thought that there was a lot to like about his resuming run for fifth at Nowra this time.
He’s drawn well on the inside of this field and can fight out the finish.
Awaytoff has improved for two starts this time and is ready to win at Ballarat this afternoon.
The Toorak Toff gelding needed the run when he finished midfield here at Ballarat when resuming, but returned a far better effort to fill the minors in BM58 company at Seymour last time out.
Fitter third-up, he can slot in behind the early pace from barrier 8 and finish over the top of his rivals.
Blesk hasn’t been seen at the races since February, but he has typically contested tougher races than this and he can make a winning return.
The John O’Shea-trained colt is a winner here at Goulburn previously and he has returned two eye-catching trials in the lead-up to today.
