There’s no doubting that The Last Dance and the story of Michael Jordan and the 1998 Chicago Bulls was compelling viewing.
The documentary gave us an insight into one of the greatest teams to ever grace the court and of course a rare interview with the GOAT – Jordan.
Every Monday we waited in high-anticipation for the new episodes to drop on Netflix.
We didn’t have any live sport – but we had The Last Dance.
However, it’s time we need to address something.
And if you are an AFL commentator, player or official reading this you need to get this message loud and clear.
STOP COMPARING AND LINKING YOURSELF TO MICHEAL JORDAN, THE LAST DANCE AND / OR THE CHICAGO BULLS.
There is no comparison.
Jordan doesn’t know you.
He doesn’t care about you.
You are unique in your own unique and special way.
You do not need to compare yourself to Michael Jordan and/or find a link with him or the Bulls.
I’m looking at you, Bec Judd
Yo, Scott Pendlebury, just because you’ve got a basketball background that does not mean you resemble anything close to the GOAT.
Memo to Luke Beverage: Jordan and the Chicago Bulls won six championships in eight years, your football club has won two premierships in 66 years. Perspective.
SPOILER ALERT: AFL legends took the exact same thing the general public did from watching The Last Dance.
The Bulls were a great team and it has nothing to do with the AFL.
Given Freo’s trophy cabinet is nothing like the Chicago Bulls, the international junket wasn’t worth it.
Did anyone even make the effort to ask Michael Jordan what he thought about Warren Tredrea’s views on media access in the AFL?
“AFL Star” and Michael Jordan is a bit of a stretch, there was only one star in this encounter.
Please, make it stop already
Seriously, this is getting out of hand.
Kane Cornes, AFL Club and the GOAT – The Holy Trinity/Trifecta of Jordan comparisons.
I think I’m going to be sick.
“He (Jordan) was stoked to meet me given I played for Melbourne” – Jeff White
Yeah, there’s no doubt that Jordan has been hanging around the whole time for Eddie McGuire to weigh-in on this one.
For the love of all good things that are decent in this world, I beg of AFL people to stop comparing themselves to Micheal Jordan.
As the GOAT said…
Bring on the actual footy returning on Thursday night.
…do you reckon MJ is going to watch it?
