Smokin’ Romans has made just the one appearance at the races so far, but is clearly a horse of ability and can continue his rise through the grades at Ballarat this afternoon.
The three-year-old son of Ghibellines could hardly have been more impressive on debut here at Ballarat and mustered an impressive turn of foot to beat his rivals by close to four lengths.
This is harder, but any improvement on that effort would just see him winning again.
