This looks like being the most open contest of the day at Hawkesbury and a horse like Rebukes has real claims on winning at a price ($13 at publish).
The Sepoy mare returned some good efforts last preparation and has stripped fitter for two starts at Newcastle this time, including a decent BM70 race last time out.
This is a drop in class and with more improvement, she can fight out the finish.
Foxborough has mixed her form a little this time, but her better performances would see her comfortably winning a race of this quality and I am happy to be with her at around the $5 mark.
The Dissident filly destroyed her rivals in the Wagga Guineas three starts back and while she failed to make an impact at Randwick two back, she filled the minors of a Wednesday race in town last time out.
She’s at peak fitness and I can’t find a reason why she won’t be in the finish.
This is a drop in grade for Aleda and she probably won’t be offered a better opportunity to win.
The Maher & Eustace-trained filly has returned some nice efforts this time in and has stepped out in Saturday metro company, and she was last seen finishing off well to fill the minors in a BM64 race at Wangaratta.
She’s rock-hard fit and will be steered by John Allen.
The early scratching of a couple of key winning chances has really opened up this race, and a horse like Srini has live claims at around the $7 mark.
Srini has returned three good efforts back from a spell this time, recording a lovely win here at Hawkesbury two back and only just missing over 1500m last time out.
The wide draw shouldn’t be a concern as he’s likely to settle off the pace anyway and with even luck, he can finish over the top of his rivals.
