Daily Racing Tips – Monday, June 8

Warwick Farm: Race 5 (2:35pm)
No. 8 Stockman

Stockman has returned to the track in excellent condition this time and I can’t find a reason why he won’t be in the finish of the fifth at Warwick Farm today.

The Tavistock gelding ended his last prep a close-up second in maiden company, but has clearly taken benefit from his time away from the track and has won three of four back from a spell, including a BM74 race at Randwick last time out.

He’s rock-hard fit and will be tough to beat.

Mornington: Race 5 (2:45pm)
No. 11 More Sundays

The well-bred More Sundays will take winning form into the fifth race at Mornington this afternoon and can return to winning form.

The Fastnet Rock gelding was fair in three starts last time in, and interestingly won at this point of his preparation.

He was good through the line when fourth at Pakenham a couple of weeks ago and he is drawn to receive a lovely run today from barrier 3.

Warwick Farm: Race 7 (3:45pm)
No. 7 Bollywood

Nearly half of the field in Race 7 has been scratched and it is now a wide-open affair.

Bollywood hasn’t run a bad race since resuming and has claims on winning at around the $7.50 mark.

The Godolphin-trained filly finished second behind Axe first-up at Wyong, progressing to a lovely win over 1100m at Gosford before filling the minors in Class 2 company last time out.

This does look a little harder, but I think she’ll improve for her last-start effort and gets the services of in-form hoop Rachel King.

Warwick Farm: Race 8 (4:20pm)
No. 10 Jetski

Jetski has mixed his form a little this time, but this looks to be one of the easier races that he has so-far been tasked with, and he is up to winning.

The Lonhro gelding has returned some lovely efforts throughout his thirteen career starts and was last seen finishing two lengths from Lillemor in a BM66 race.

A lot of horses have been scratched from this contest as well, and he is a horse that has handled the heavy going previously.
