I love the way You Make Me Smile has trialed leading into this first up assignment.
He will jump and go straight to the front and although this is short of his best distance, he goes well when fresh and has drawn to get a lovely run in transit.
Any rain will not bother him.
Australian Bloodstock have a mortgage on this race with no less than four runners and I think the team has a couple that are primed for this race.
Some of the others at the top of the market have been up and down in distance whereas the two I have tipped looked ready to peak and have a lot of upside.
This is a pretty weak Listed race and the Kim Waugh trained Trumbull will get a chance at winning a black type race here.
The four year old has been racing really well without winning this prep including a a fourth, beaten only 1.7 lengths, at Listed level behind Ranier three starts back.

Spencer has been racing very well at this grade of racing this prep which has included a narrow second behind True Detective at Rosehill two back.
The form around that horse has been red hot and the five year old gelding by Pierro will be fighting out the finish yet again.
I have a lot of time for this four year old gelding by Medaglia D’oro and although he has just the four wins from 24 career race starts he is always competitive in his races.
He has drawn perfectly with Glen Boss on board and I like the fact that he has had a barrier trial in between runs.
