We head to Honkers on Wednesday with another nine-race program on offer at Sha Tin, and to help you out, we’ve provided all of our top tips below!
Little Thunder won his maiden three weeks ago over the track and distance and looks more than capable of stringing together two in a row.
The four-year-old comes out of the Tony Millard yard third-up where he’s placed previously in the past.
I thought he showed plenty of closing speed to win by over a length last time out where he seemingly had plenty left in the tank.
Precious Sweetie should take improvement away from his last start where he finished 2.5L fourth over the 1000m.
The son of Fastnet Rock should appreciate the step up to the 1200m now with two wins over the distance.
Virtus Star mixes his form but should improve on his last start third where he finished three lengths behind the fast-finishing Victorious Seeker at Happy Valley.
The Sebring gelding got a lovely run along the rails under Zac Purton and, although he’s been a little unkind to punters, I don’t think this four-year-old is far off from winning his maiden having placed in three of his last four outings.
Purton was forced to go a little earlier than he wanted to down the straight in that last run, but I love the fact he retains the ride here.
The pair map to get a lovely ride in transit and this looks a race he can win.
This is a step up in class for Demons Rock, but judging on his comfortable two-length win last start over the 1200m, he’s more than capable of handling it.
Matthew Poon gets in the saddle hoping to go one better on his runner-up placing aboard the five-year-old two starts back.
He has plenty to work with from barrier 1 and the fact Excel Delight has been scratched from the race can be seen as an added bonus.
Pearl Champion is another to watch from an equally good draw, he’s first-up here with Vagner Borges on board but often races well fresh.
Kings Shield was no match in his last start over the 1400m where he finished 10 of 13 on the turf, but he does rate as one of the top chances in this Class 2 Handicap with Zac Purton steering for the first time.
The American import won over the course and distance by five lengths to cap off his 2019 season and is a three-time winner on the All Weather surface.
With even luck, he can figure in the finish again stepping back in class.
Buddies can make it two in a row following his dominant last start victory over the 1400m.
He’s also back in grade but has plenty of form lines to suit.
Striking Mr C steps out second-up and rates as one of the main dangers with Derek Leung retaining the ride.
The New Zealand import won twice over the course and distance last time in and tends to save his best for the All-Weather surface.
He’ll likely go forward here and is more than capable of leading all the way.
Breeze Of Spring was a narrow winner four starts back at Sha Tin and can sneak into the finish from the inside draw.
Elite Boy has returned to the races in good order having just missed out on the placings in both starts so far.
He gets in-form apprentice Jerry Chau in the saddle for the first time and maps to get a lovely run up on the speed.
Good For You has an experience edge over his rivals with five wins over the distance to his name.
The seven-year-old has raced well since rising to Class 3 level with a win two starts back at Happy Valley.
He backed that performance up to find the placings in his last start at this venue and should be better for it.
Ka Ying Legend was also a comfortable four length winner two starts back over the course and distance.
He found no luck in the late goings finishing 8 of 14 last time out but rates as an each-way chance with Jerry Chau riding.
This looks to be a suitable race for Jade Fortune dropping 1.5kg following his last start fifth.
Zac Purton stays aboard the seven-year-old and from the inside chute, the pair should have the run of the race if they tuck in just off the speed.
The New Zealand import has raced well without winning this season and looks well overdue for his sixth carer win.
Just Not Listening rates as a decent each-way hope with Zac Purton replacing Joao Moreira in the saddle.
The gelding by Star Witness failed to fire in his last start finishing seventh over the track and distance but did string together a pair of runner-up performances two starts prior.
Purton could prove to have the winning touch here and I think he has some options from barrier 8 up on the speed.
Three career wins over the distance and two placings on the All-Weather surface is a bonus.
This is a tough way to close out the day, so I’m sticking with Vagner Borges to make it two in a row aboard Touch Of Luck.
The pair won narrowly a fortnight ago at this venue and have drawn another handy gate to suit.
The five-year-old gelding has already peeled off two wins from four starts this time in and has plenty of form lines to suit around the distance and the surface.
French import La Yakfi is also worth a look in the minors third-up.
The four-year-old has placed in five of his seven starts over the distance and tends to race well with a couple of runs under his belt.
